Honda is the sixth largest automobile manufacturer in the world. Honda was the first Japanese automobile manufacturer to release a dedicated luxury brand, Acura, in 1986. Aside from their core automobile and motorcycle businesses, Honda also manufactures garden equipment, marine engines, personal watercraft and power generators, amongst others. Since 1986, Honda has been involved with artificial intelligence/robotics research and released their ASIMO robot in 2000.  Honda Insight, Honda CR-V, Honda Accord, Honda Fit, Honda Jazz, Odyssey, Civic, Avancier, Integra, Inspire are some of the magnificent vehicles produced by Honda in many years. These vehicles new or used are very popular throughout the world. New hybrid car series will also get great response due to its performance and reasonable price.

The Honda Freed a Mini MPV produced by the Japanese automaker Honda since 2008 was a vehicle replacement for the Honda Mobilio. The Freed was based on the Jazz/Fit platform. Three different versions of the Freed are available: a seven-seat version which features captain’s seats in the second row; an eight-seat version; and a five-seat version. In 2009, Honda had announced that a hybrid version would be available by 2011. Freed is Honda’s popular model especially in countries like Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. The Good News is that Honda Motor Co began sales of the all-new Freed Hybrid minivan and Freed Spike Hybrid tall wagon across Japan this October. The new Freed Hybrids will surely get a warm welcome in Japan and other nations too.

The new Freed hybrids are said to offer more spacious, comfortable, fresher interiors and a large cargo area in a compact body. Both Freed Hybrid minivan and Freed Spike Hybrid tall wagon promises a smooth ride with outstanding fuel economy.

The Freed Hybrid and Freed Spike Hybrid features combination of advanced packaging technology and Honda’s lightweight, compact IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) hybrid system, the new models offer all of the comfort and utility of the Freed series while featuring one of the best fuel economy among 5-number class minivans and tall wagons: 21.6 km/L as measured in JC08 mode and 24.0 km/L as measured in 10・15 mode.  These hybrids with a 1.5 liter i-VTEC engine, that seats up to seven people which is only 166 inches long.  To make sure that the driver gets the best possible mileage, the dashboard has a set of hybrid digital meters as well as an ambient meter that changes color when you’re driving greener. The vehicles also come standard with an Econ Mode and an Ecological Drive Assist System. Do you know that more than one-third of registered Honda automobiles in Japan recently are all are hybrid vehicles.

Honda is said to be soon coming up with new series of special-needs vehicles in November 2011.  Honda Freed special-needs vehicles will include a wheelchair-accessible model with a newly developed electric winch, a side lift-up seat model, and a passenger lift-up seat model. That sounds very interesting. Honda should launch Freed series in international markets too. This will certainly boost the economy in a great way.
