Advantages of Solar Power – Generate Electricity In The Homes

  • Comments 0

Solar Power is probably the answer to man’s power needs for the future. It is quite properly referred to as fuel for the new era. The endless energy it gives could certainly be the solution for the current crisis; we may face in coming years. The advantages of solar power are enormous, which has forced us to find techniques and design equipment to capture and exploit their abundant energy in our daily activities.

One of the most talked about among the advantages of solar power is its inexhaustible supply. We all know that our conventional energy sources would be exhausted one day, but no matter how much we use Solar Energy will continue to be in abundance for millions of years to come.

Among other advantages of solar power is that it does not create any pollution. You can generate the energy to keep the emission level as low as zero. The cost to maintain the solar panels to generate electricity is far less in relation to power lines. Solar energy can be used to run appliances in the homes were small solar panels are installed one at a time for each house, or sizable solar panel’s built in a different location for generating and storing electricity that is then distributed to a vast area. Solar energy can also be an important source of energy for our satellites in space.

Advantages of solar power are minimized noise generation, durability of equipment, and a very long period of time after which the devices must be cleaned. There is absolutely no movement in parts of a solar panel, and thus the risk of anyone being injured is also reduced greatly. In many countries in the world, kerosene or coal is used to light the lamps and for heating. These have a really bad effect on the health of people. Solar panels can reduce this effect largely because there is absolutely no emission of gases. The cost for the transfer of energy is also zero in the case of solar energy that can be created in the same place where it is consumed.

Advantages of solar power have increased many folds in recent times because of the gradual transition from an expensive source of energy for a relatively economical one. New techniques are being developed every day for better and easier use of the solar energy. Solar energy has some disadvantages, as well as the high initial installation costs, a relatively large space required for installation and the inability of equipment to capture energy on a cloudy day and night. The benefits themselves easily overshadow the negatives. With the passage of time and technology up-gradation, we will be able to reduce the inconvenience to a large extent.

A switch to solar energy at this point is simply perfect, and the need of the hour. The switch will be gradual, but the positive effects on the environment would be seen almost immediately. The time has come for us to make a move towards better health and living.
