What you’re going to get is a straight forward, simple to understand answer regarding protein powders and if you should take them and if they work? No more guessing or thinking about all the questions about these supplements.
Protein Powders: Healthy or Not & do They Actually Work?
This is probably the most talked about, emailed and asked question when it comes to both men and women looking to gain muscle or add more their frame. It’s not the question of if protein powders are scams or will make you big and muscular, its do they work? And the answer to that is, yes. Proteins are building blocks consisting of amino acids which have many bodily functions such as building and maintaining healthy muscles when combined with a proper work out/exercise. They also have other great benefits such as, boosting the immune system, support red blood cell production and maintaining healthy skin, hair and finger nails.
Do I Really Need to Take Protein Powders?
The answer to this question is more of a yes and no. How can that be? Well protien powders are exactly what they are meant to be, supplemental. This doesn’t mean that you absolutely need them to grow solid muscles. I don’t know about you but getting 400 grams of protein in your daily meal plan is not the easiest of things to do. Protein powders make life a lot easier by helping your assisting your diet.
To be quite honest, I would even go as far to say that you can save quite a bit by using protein powders as they help keep your grocey list to shorter then it would with out these shakes. Don’t get me wrong here, this supplement is not be a replacement for whole foods. You can not receive the same variety of nutrients through protein shakes as you would with whole foods. Use them for what they are, supplementing! Never take more than 3 shakes a day and always keep the protein shakes to about 40% of your daily meals.
So to answer the questions, should you take protein powders? I would say yes, but only to help assist your dieting needs and goals. They help make life much easier and also help in re-building and maintaining healthy muscles. Take them for what they are, supplements and nothing more or less.
