It is very difficult to add the product grid list of static pages in Magento. It is easy by adding the code. But the difficult thing is that on which line that code is added and on which place we can display it.

Then look for the debug section and select the option Template path Hints and then click on Yes and save the Config file. After that you need to refresh the home page of the Magento Store, you will show lots of tags and boxes of grid view.

For changing the design of your home page you need to go to the admin panel, or abck end and navigate to CMS and select Manage pages. Choose the particular home page to initiate the editing tool. Then take away any unnecessary HTML code from the content and then add the call for list.phtml. The code should not be inner side of the div tag that will limit its size.

When all of these steps are done, save the changes made and refresh the Magento store once again. You may encounter an error stating, “There are no products matching the selection.”

After completing all the steps which are mentioned above displayed are being completed, save all the changes and once refresh the Magento store again. You may meet with the error stating, There is no any product matching.

You need to just check the proper category ID to get rid from the error. You need to choose proper category ID for putting products in the grid view.
