Mineral resources are an important component part of natural resources and are non-renewable natural resources. ‘Mineral resources’ is a general term for useful minerals and is often referred to as minerals or ores for short. Mineral resources refer to all natural mineral and rock resources which are distributed on land and in the sea and are available for development and utilization by mankind under certain specific technical-economic conditions. So, in this sense, the conception of mineral resources is a dynamic conception. That is to say, in a certain historical period, due to the progress in scientific-technological and economic conditions, some mineral materials which were not considered as ores in the past may have become mineral resources that can be utilized today; some materials which do not seem to be ores today may turn to be mineral resources that can be utilized in the future.

In the long and extremely complicated process of development of the earth, diversified mineral resources were formed as a result of different geological processes in different development periods of the geological history.

According to their physical states under natural conditions, mineral resources can be divided into solid mineral resources, liquid mineral resources and gaseous mineral resources. Solid mineral resources include coal, iron ore, copper ore, gold ore, etc.; liquid mineral resources include petroleum, mineral spring water, brine, etc.; and gaseous mineral resources include natural gas, coal-bed gas, CO2 gas and so on.Henan Hongxing Mining Machinery Co., Ltd is the professional manufacturer of complete sets of mining machinery, for example, classifier, jaw breakers Welcome all of you to visit our official website.artificial sand maker:

In terms of their uses, properties and extractable useful constituents, mineral resources can also be divided into energy mineral resources, metallic mineral resources and nonmetallic mineral resources. Mineral resources which can be used as raw materials of energy sources such as fuel and power are called energy mineral resources, e.g. petroleum and coal. Those from which metallic elements or compounds can be extracted, e.g. gold ore, silver ore, copper ore, iron ore and tin ore, are called metallic mineral resources. The mineral resources from which nonmetallic elements and compounds or the nonmetallic minerals and rocks that can be used directly are called nonmetallic mineral resources, for instance, phosphorous ore, salt deposits, pyrite, kaolin, refractory clay and marble.
