Geometric patterns, knots, and other designs can also be done if you practice what is called “knot herb” gardening. One type of garden that is becoming popular is a native garden. Simply plant species from your local area to create such a garden. Thus, plants brought in by settlers would not count – only those that are indigenous to North America. The advantage to this type of gardening is that these will be plants that will grow most easily in your area. To do this, you need to do a lot of research on which plants are actually from your area.

Creativity is the key when creating a garden that is representative of your imagination and knowledge of gardening. It is up to you whether you make a regular garden, or add a great deal of creativity to the entire project.
