Fire up your senses at Nagoya Corp, a trendy restaurant in New Jersey serving delicious modern Japanese cuisine. Celebrating its seventh year anniversary soon, the restaurant has been experiencing a great amount of positive feedback and attendance that puts it in a league of its own.
The Nagoya Corp Japanese restaurant uses warm shades of orange and gold, as well as plenty of organic materials like wooden floors and a wall of charcoal to create a stylish, vibrant yet comfortable environment. The best seats by far are at the wooden counter (a huge slab of solid wood) around the huge Japanese robata grill in the centre of the restaurant, where you can observe the chefs busily preparing and grilling the food.
Beyond the cashier and waiting area are several chair and table arrangements to the left, and to the right is an elevated area where you can literally kick off your shoes and sit cross legged on a low table for a different type of dining experience. Nestled in the back corner is a sushi bar that can seat ten people easily.
The food on the menu skews towards Japanese fare, but there are some Asian Fusion styled gems. One in particular makes my mouth water – the sweet and sour soup, which is nothing like the one you would get at a Chinese Take Out place. Instead, this one is spicy and comes with shrimp and scallop and has a deep, rich flavor.
The Nagoya Corp staff is very friendly and know the regulars by name. Not once have we seen the “big guy” at the sushi bar without a smile! Lots of happy, sociable customers every time we stop by. A nice atmosphere and beautifully kept setting equals a place that is definitely worth your visit!
