Previously on Single Ladies Year 2 Episode 10 “Fast Love”, Raquel believes that Charles is just not interested in her; April and Reggie’s romantic relationship hits a snag.
On this week’s Event title “Stormy Weather”, Keisha at last commits to Sean after a startling meeting with Malcolm. Meanwhile, things get stormy among April and Reggie.
VH1 has teamed way up with Queen Latifah’s Taste Unit Entertainment to bring viewers “Single Ladies”, a new comedic play series that asks that question: what do women really would like in a relationship? “Single Ladies” is a new comedic drama about Val, Keisha, and April – a few best friends with various philosophies on sex and relationships. Val (Stacey Dash) is usually an ambitious aspiring fashion mogul who would like to find a legitimate partner. Keisha (LisaRaye McCoy), on the other palm, is a former video dancer just trying to find a rich man to keep her in style. April (Charity Shea), has supposedly found the right man and the ideal marriage – but can be learning that marriage is just not necessarily a happy finishing. “Single Ladies” is today’s, sexy series set on the earth of Atlanta fashion, music, and celebrity that may constantly explore which woman has the suitable approach to relationships.
The show was created by Stacy A. Littlejohn and directed through Tamra Davis, both of whom can also be executive producers. The series is being produced two episodes at any given time to save money.
The series executive manufacturers include: Queen Latifah, Shelby Stone and Shakim Compere to get Flavor Unit; Maggie Malina for POPfilms; Jeff Olde and Jill Holmes for VH1. The show is filmed and also centered in Atlanta.
Latifah says she is “particularly proud” belonging to the series, stating that “”We wanted the ladies to talk about mature things. (Sex and the hub) was an inspiration, but the real inspiration was actual life… These are virile women who have emotions and desires, and they will be out there looking, but they’ll do it on their own terms. ”
Writer Littlejohn believes that “”Single Ladies” is a “jewel in the crown” to get VH1. ” She also said that she is like she is breaking new ground and setting a precedent, where VH1 and scripted shows are worried, saying “I’m creating this formula”.
According to Entertainment 7 days a week, series lead Stacey Dash has thought we would exit the series once its inaugural season. Dash commented “I must be back in L. A. with my children at this time and the Single Wives shooting location [in Atlanta] helps make this impossible. ” She will be replaced by All my Children alumna Denise Vasi.
Part of the show’s fantasy is the fact dating is the very last frontier of discrimination. Set in an Atlanta with high-salaried bank shots, tight jersey dresses plus the art form formerly also known as the music video, “Single Ladies” has been created by Queen Latifah and explores the lives of plenty of friends – Carrie, Samantha, no, I mean to point out, Val, Keisha and April – as they quite simply navigate the sexual politics of an city where, we’re told, there is one man for each 12 marriage-minded women.
