Cialis is a drug that is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Tadalafil is the active ingredient in Cialis tablets, and it belongs to a class of medicines named “phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor”. It functions by helping your penis blood vessels to relax, letting your blood flow freely into your penis. Such an effect results in improved potency or erectile function. Cialis is also used for treating enlarged prostate, or also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
In 2003 it was approved by the FDA. The manufacturer of this wonder drug is “Eli Lilly and Company”.

Is Cialis right for you?
In most cases this drug is sold by prescription only, and made specifically for treating ED in men. Whether you have an erectile dysfunction, you must find out by consulting with a qualified physician. You shouldn’t take Cialis under these conditions:

 - If you have never experienced an ED, you should not take it. Cialis is not produced for recreational use.
 - Men, who are taking different drugs for treatment of erectile dysfunction should not make use of Cialis.
 - If some other form of treatment is being used to improve or treat an ED, it shouldn’t be used.
 - If nitrate-based medical products are being used in any form, you should NEVER take Cialis. The two don’t mix together, and can cause a drastic and fatal drop in your blood pressure.
 - Cialis is active up to 36 hours. Don’t make use of it, unless you intend on having sexual intercourse during that period of time.
 - If you had been advised about abstaining from sexual intercourse because of a potential cardiovascular risk, you should not take Cialis (also includes men who have recently suffered from a heart attack or stroke).
 - It is not advisable for men with low blood pressure to take Cialis.

Are there any side effects?
As with any other medicine, Cialis has its side effects. Based on the study, small percentage of men will experience common side effects of Cialis, such as:

 - Headache
 - Back pain
 - Indigestion
 - Nasal congestion
 - Muscle pain
 - Dry mouth
 - Angina

To minimize any risks related to taking of Cialis, it is advised to consult your doctor first. Also, tell your doctor about any medicines taken, such as prescription and non-prescription drugs, vitamins and any herbal supplements.

What is the generic name of Cialis?
Tadalafil, also known as generic Cialis, is an oral drug for treating ED in men. It comes in doses of 2.5, 5, 10, and 20mg.
Generic Cialis (Tadalafil) should be used according to the prescription of your doctor.
